In 1498, during his third journey to the New World, Cristobal Colón sailed near the Orinoco's Delta. 

Amazed, he expressed his conviction of having arrived to the Earthly Paradise:

'And I say, if this river does not come from the Earthly Paradise, it originates in the infinite land, from the Austral Continent, in Tierra de Gracia'

From that encounter between two worlds, more than five centuries ago, a dialogue was born between the two shores of the Atlantic, a dialogue that has been kept alive until nowadays through the journeys.

Another voyage, also departing from Spain and with the Caribbean as destiny, was inspired by the search of hope and future. With the intention of leaving the dictatorship behind, the republicans Julia and Lesmes Castañeda, together with their son and daughter Lesmes and Luisa, embarked to America.

Decades later, en this curl of journeys, the grandsons of that family: Andrés and Mateo, have chosen Palma de Mallorca as their new Tierra de Gracia. And this is how they called their restaurant: Tierra de Gracia, a project born from a return journey.

For this reason, our cultural programme is inspired on the journey: The journey as change and hope, as exchange and enrichment. Travelling for personal search, or even as a spiritual experience. This search of our place in the world...
